BEEF STEW WITH SHELLS:
Serves: 4
Source: LaDonna
Effort: easy
Comments: Recipe made up by LaDonna. You can use any kind of pasta, we like the shells. Also for the celery & onions, I use my mini chopper. It gets them nice and fine.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 - 2 lbs. stew meat cut into small cubes
2 T. oil
1 t. salt
1 t. paprika
1/2 t. chili powder
2 t. minced garlic
3 c. water
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) chicken broth
1 can (16 oz.) diced tomato's, undrained
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. shell macaroni
INSTRUCTIONS:
In dutch oven put in oil and heat up. Put in stew meat and brown well. Add remaining ingredients except for the shell macaroni. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours or until meat is tender. Stirring occasionally. Stir in shell macaroni and cook for around 8 minutes or until macaroni is done.
