Here are the ones we make every year:

    Grandma Prime’s Cookies

    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 t. vanilla
    4 – 6 c. flour
    2 t. baking soda
    2 t. cinnamon

In a bowl mix shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and cinnamon and add to sugar mixture. Drop cookies by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 – 10 minutes.
*Dough can be divided in half and add cocoa.

    Mexican Wedding Cakes

    1 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1 t. vanilla
    ¾ c. powdered sugar

Combine butter, flour and vanilla in a bowl. Form the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes. Roll cookies in the powdered sugar while still hot. Cool.

    Hopscotch

1 (6 oz.) pkg. Butterscotch chips
    ½ c. peanut butter
    2 c. mini marshmallows
1 (3 oz.) can chow mien noodles

In a double boiler melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter together until creamy. Add marshmallows and chow mien. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and cool or spread in a pan and cut into cookies.

    Margie’s Sugar Cookies

    ½ c. butter
    ½ c. butter flavored Crisco
    1 ½ c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 T. vanilla
    ½ c. milk
    4 – 5 c. flour
    1 t. salt
    4 t. baking powder
    1 t. baking soda

Mix together first 6 ingredients with a mixer. Stir the remaining ingredient by hand. Roll dough out to ½” thickness. Use cookie cutter to make desired shapes. Bake at 350 for 8 – 10 minutes, or until light brown. Cool on a rack and frost.
