    I don't have a recipe for Boubon Balls, but I do have one using Rum/Brandy and it is always a favorite with my family and friends.

    Brandy Balls

    2 1/2 Cups Finely crushed Vanilla wafers (approx 45 wafers)
    1 Cup Powder Sugar
    2 Tbls Hersheys Cocoa
    1 Cup finely chopped Pecans or Walnuts
    1/4 Cup Karo corn syrup (light or dark)
    2 TBLS Brandy or Rum Extract
    1/4 Tsp Almond Extract
    1 Tbls Water

    1. Combine crushed wafers, powder sugar, cocoa and nuts in large bowl. Mix well.
    2. Combine corn syrup, extracts,and water. Mix with dry ingredients.

    3. Shape into approx 36 balls. Roll in Powder Sugar and store covered several days before serving.
    NOTE: I usually start making Christmas Baked Goodies around Oct and put in freezer containers or round cookie tins. Can use several different things to roll the cookies in such as powder sugar, chocolate sprinkles, Christmas Sprinkles, Finely chopped nuts, shredded coconut. The longer you let these sit, the more the flavors meld together. Enjoy!!
