This is a great recipe for candy apples. It calls for the cinnamon in your spice cabinet, not the candy flavoring...
8 medium size firm red apples, washed, dried and skewered
3 C sugar
1/2 C light Karo
1 C water
Heat and dissolve sugar, karo and water. Boil- do not stir! until it reaches 300 degrees. Remove from heat.
Stir in 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
and 1/4 tsp. red food coloring
Dip apples and place on greased cookie sheet.
Let cool 1 hour
Enjoy!
