Bet you thought it was something sexy!Well...I guess these could be...lol!
Whoopie "Love" Pies
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
Filling:
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 jar (7 1/2 oz) marshmallow cream or fluff
Pies:
In a small bowl mix together flour,cocoa,baking soda and salt.In a large bowl ,use and electric mixer to beat 1/2 cup butter with brown sugar until pale and fluffy.Add egg and 1 tsp vanilla,beat well.Reduce to low speed and gradually add flour mixture and buttermilk until smooth.Spoon heaping 1/4 cup mounds on lightly greased baking sheets.Bake at 350 for 11-13 mins or until done.
Filling:
Beat together remaining butter with icing sugar,add marshmallow cream and remaining vanilla,Mix until well blended.Spread by heaping tablespoons onto bottom half of pie and top with another pie.Makes 1 dozen
