POPCORN BALLS
I just love making and eating these balls
1 pkg. large marshmallows
1/2 C. (1 stick) butter
5 qt. popped corn
Drop of vanilla extract
Food coloring
Melt marshmallows and butter. Add vanilla extract and coloring.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Pour over popped corn and stir. Butter hands and form into balls.
OLD FASHION POPCORN BALLS
2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 qt. popcorn
Butter sides of saucepan. In it combine sugar, water, salt, syrup and vinegar. Cook to hard boil stage (250 degrees). Stir in vanilla. Pour over popcorn, stirring just to mix well. Butter hands lightly. Shape balls 15-20 balls.
