We made these for my grand-daughters fall feast festival at school. It makes a lot so it is great for large crowds.
Cranberry Cookies
1/2 c Butter or marg
3/4 c Brown sugar, packed
1 c Sugar
1/4 c Milk
2 T. Orange juice
1 Egg
3 c Flour
1 t. Cinnamon
1/4 t. Baking soda
1 t. Baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 1/2 c Raw cranberries, coarsely chopped
1 c Chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS:
Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in milk, orange juice, and egg.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Blend well with sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts and cranberries.
Chill dough for about an hour, then drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, and bake 10- 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Makes about 7 dozen cookies.
