Here are two recipes I found in magazines this year that are great! Both have been big hits, and they can both be made ahead of time. The cranberry spread is served cold, and the Bacon Dip you just pop it in the oven 30 minutes before serving:
Cranberry Delight Spread
(off the TownHouse Cracker box)
8 oz Cream Cheese, room temp
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon sugar
Zest of 1 orange
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
1/4 cup finely chopped dry cranberries
Combine cream cheese, juice, cinnamon and sugar. Mix until smooth. Fold in remaining ingredients. Serve with Crackers
Warm & Creamy Bacon Dip
(from Hormel, I think)
16 oz Sour Cream
1 (3 oz) jar Bacon Bits
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup chopped green onions
Combine ingredients. Place in 1 quart baking dish and heat covered 25 - 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Serve with crackers.
