Low Fat Granola

Yield: 8 cups
5 cups rolled oats, low fat
3/4 cup wheat germ, toasted
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons margarine, reduced calorie
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup grape nuts Cereal
1/2 cup raisins
mix together rolled oats, wheat germ and grape nuts cereal.
heat the water in the microwave for 20 seconds and add in brown sugar to disolve. Mix in the margarine and vanilla.
pour the water mixture over the oats and stir
place parchment paper on cookie sheet and spread out the oats mixture. Bake in the oven at 300F for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Stir with a fork to break up the clumps.
turn the oven off and allow to cool with door open. Once completely cool to the touch mix in raisins and store in an air tight container or a ziplock bag.
