I found this on WW message boards--I think I will try it only I will probably use my own cooked apples. I am not a fan of the bought apple pie filling.

I made these for dessert tonight and they were very tasty with a dollop of cool whip free on top, and only 2 points.

              Apple Dumplings

1 can apple pie filling sweetened with splenda (I use Wal-Mart Brand)
              1 cup Splenda
              6 oz. diet Mt. Dew
              2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp. fat free butter spread (like I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Fat Free)
1 pkg of reduced fat crescent roll dough.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with PAM. Unroll crescent roll dough and seperate into triangles. Place a large apple slice, or two smaller ones on the wide end of the dough and sprinkle with a small amt of cinnamon. Roll up apple in dough and place with point down in baking dish. Mix Splenda and remaining cinnamon in with Mt. Dew and pour over rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown. Serve warm with a dollop of Cool Whip free.

Note: you won't use all of apple pie filling, save for another purpose
