To all the low carb people these may make a GREAT potato chip substitute!!
Plantain Chips(Platanos Fritos):
Yields about 5 cups chips
vegetable oil
4 plantains,cut into 1/4"slices
1 Tbls.chili powder
1/2 tsp.salt
Heat oil (1")to 350 degrees.Fry plantains in hot oil til golden brown,about 2 minutes.Drain on paper towels,toss with chili powder & salt.
