Who remembers this recipe? My ex loved this as a child and begged me to get the recipe from his mom. I haven't made this since our divorce but I remember it as good. MIL's recipe added the oranges into the casserole, but it is not written that way here.

    Chopstick Tuna

1 can cream of celery or mushroom soup
    1/4 cup water
1 bag chow mein noodles (about 2 cups)
1 6-9 oz can of tuna
    1 cup sliced celery
    1/2 cup salted toasted cashews
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1 tsp. soy sauce
    1 can drained mandarin oranges
    Dash pepper

Mix soup with 1/4 cup water. Add 1 cup chow mein noodles and remaining ingredients; toss lightly. Place in ungreased 10x6 baking dish. Sprinkle remaining noodles on top.

Bake at 375F for 30 minutes or until heated through. Top with mandarin orange slices. Makes 4 servings.

No, no sweet and sour taste. They add just a nice touch of sweetness. They aren't all that sweet on their own. You can leave them off. Kinda like a salad with them on it. Adds another depth of flavor.

Chocolate, I think you should have put 1 cup into the the tuna mixture and 1 cup of chow mein noodles on top of casserole before baking hun.
