  • Paulaís Deep-Fried Chicken

    I made Paula Deenís fried chicken recipe the other night and it turned out great! I will only make fried chicken this way from now on! I like that I can prep it ahead of time so all I have to do is fry it when itís time.

    Heat oil in your deep-fat fryer according to directions.

    3 Eggs
    1/3 Cup Water
    ***Used Bottle Water
    1 Cup Texas Pete Hot Sauce
    2 Cups Self Rising Flour
    1 Tsp. Pepper
    ***I Used More
    House Seasoning, Recipe Below
    Used Chicken Breasts/Legs/Wings
    Peanut Oil
    ***Used Vegetable Oil

    House Seasoning:

    1 Cup Salt
    1/4 Cup Black Pepper
    1/4 Cup Garlic Powder

    In a medium-size bowl, beat the eggs with the water and Peteís Hot Sauce.

    In a Tupperware container, add the flour and pepper.

    Season chicken with House Seasoning; add to flour mixture.

    Put lid on and shake to coat the chicken well. You may have to do a few chicken pieces at a time, depending on the size of chicken pieces you are using.

    Put chicken in basket; lower it.

    Fry chicken according to your deep-fat fryer instructions.

    Put chicken on a paper towel/lined plate when done.
