    Paula Deen’s Biscuits:

These biscuits are easy to make and they turned out great! I will only use this recipe from now on.

***This made 9 biscuits in my iron-skillet.

I made sausage gravy, fried potatoes and eggs to go with it. I like to put sausage gravy over biscuits and potatoes. Thought I would share it in case anyone would like to try it.

I spread softened butter from a tub in the skillet before putting biscuits in it.

    2 Cups Flour
    1 Tsp. Sugar
    1 T. Baking Powder
    1 Tsp. Salt
    8 T. Cubed Butter
    3/4 Cup Milk
    ***Used Whole Milk

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together: use hands to combine.

Cut butter into flour mixture until it begins to look like cornmeal.

Make a well in the middle of mixture and slowly add milk into the middle.

Knead dough with your fingers and add milk a little at a time.

Put dough on lightly floured cutting board and roll out to desired thickness.

Cut with biscuit cutter. I floured the rim of a glass; put it in the dough and turned it.

Put each biscuit into lightly buttered iron-cast skillet.

Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 12 minutes.
