I made this tonight, easy and tasty comfort food.
Chicken Crouton Casserole
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 10 min. Bake: 30 min.
YIELD: 8 servings.
Beth Gramling, Warren, Pennsylvania
Ingredients
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chicken broth (7-1/4 oz)
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted (I used the full can)
1 cup sour cream (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup butter, melted (1/4 cup)
1 package (14 ounces) seasoned stuffing croutons (1 package Stove Top Stuffing for chicken)
4 cups shredded cooked chicken (2 cups)
Minced fresh parsley, optional
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, combine the broth, soup, sour cream and butter. Stir in croutons and chicken.
2. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, until heated through, 20-25 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.
Charlene’s notes 1-22-2022: Very easy and very good for tasty comfort food. I only made a half recipe and still have enough for another night. No changes other than the amounts noted in parentheses.
