This is from the blog Inspired by Charm. I made a few changes. It is for one reg size loaf. I doubled recipe and made 4 - 4x8 loaves. Also used white sugar for the bread and brown sugar for filling/ topping. I will make more filling/topping next time. I would like more in the middle.
1 1/3 c sugar divided
1/2 c chopped walnuts (I used pecans)
2 tea cinnamon
2 c flour
2 tea baking powder
1/2 tea salt
1 egg
1.c milk
1/3 c veg oil
1/2 c sour cream
1 tea vanilla
Preheat oven 350°
spray a 9x5 loaf pan
In a small bowl mix 1/3 c sugar ( I used brown) nuts and cinnamon set aside.
In large bowl whisk flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder amd salt
In separate bowl whisk together egg, milk, oil, sour cream and vanilla.
add wet ingredients to dry. Mix til just combined. May be alittle lumpy. Put 1/2 batter in pan, top with 1/2 nut mixture, add remaining batter and top with remaining nut mixture.
Bake 60 to 65 min.
